Christ is the Sum of All Spiritual Things.

1 Corinthians 1:29-31 That no flesh should glory in his presence. But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

Christ has not given us a righteousness; He is our righteousness. Christ has not granted us a thing called power to make us sanctified and holy; He is our holiness. Christ has not offered us a redemption; He is our redemption. Christ has not opened up a new way for us; Christ is the way. Christ has not given us a new truth; He is the truth. Christ has not conferred on us a thing called life; He is our life. Christ is the sum of all spiritual things!

God has not granted us humility and patience and gentleness. He grants the entire Christ to us. It is Christ living in us and through us who becomes our humility, patience, and gentleness. It is Christ, the living Lord. This is truly Christianity! Chriatianity is none other than Christ Himself!

So many of God's children live their lives in defeat. This is due to the fact that what they get from God is a gift - instead of Christ. Though they have received many fragmentary items from God, they have not obtained the Christ of God. They possess objects and things, but not the Person.

Do you know the Lord Jesus as your Saviour, or your salvation? Your Redeemer, or your redemption? Your Liberator, or your liberation? Your Sanctifier, or your sanctification? Your Justifier, or your justification? To know Him as your "er" is primary knowledge; to know Him as your "tion" is a further and deeper knowledge.
